Why
are our windows better?
Wood
- We undertake
alot of repairs to rotten window sections and are increasingly we are
making repairs on timbers that are less that ten years old. This is
due to previous repairs and/or new windows being manufactured in Red-Pine
which is classed as a non durable timber.
- Falkirk
Wood manufactures sash and case windows from Douglas fir which is classed
as a durable timber. Throughout central Scotland there are windows that
are over 150 years old and the reason that last that long is because
they are made from Douglas Fir.
